From the early 90′s Apple has been known for producing some of the most innovative products on the market, and yet for over a year now we’ve been subjected to numerous rumours concerning the new Apple TV. Sometime dubbed the iTV.
What’s all the fuss about? More Apple rumours?
Of course if there’s one brand in the world that is talked about over any other, then it’s Apple, not a day goes by without some new revelation about the new iPad 3 or iPhone 5.
None of that here, we’re just going knock any thoughts you have about Apple producing an actual TV;
aka “the New Apple iTV”
It ain’t gonna happen.
But….. They are going to revolutionise the TV and Media business in general, quite possibly overnight.
Why would Apple make a TV?
Not only do we all have huge 42″ / 50″ monsters in our homes already, that no doubt cost a fortune, there isn’t any profit in making TVs. Lord knows Apple likes to make a profit, with many of their products seemingly expensive.
How much would they have to sell this new TV for?
Like I said, it’s not going to happen…..
The new Apple TV will be slimmer than a Cuban cigar
The new Apple TV will be 3″ long and is shipped in a box smaller than an iPhone 4s.
Don’t believe me?
Read this: Is this the new Apple TV?
It describes a new, hitherto unknown Apple device, a device that connects your iPhone, iPod or iPad to your High Definition TV, wirelessly.
It allows you to build your own TV channel line up, from any location, web wise.
- Netflix
- Hulu
- BBC iPlayer
- Sky Go
The list goes on depending where you live.
That’s not all, the new Apple TV is fully portable, it requires no power supply as it draws it’s power directly from the HDMI socket on your own TV.
It has the consumer electronics control protocol built in so it allows your iPhone, iPod or iPad to control all the features of the TV, plus any other devices connected to your system via HDMI.
Think about controlling your PS3 via your iPod?
Of course there is nothing stopping you just unplugging your new Apple TV from the HDMI socket on your TV and taking it round to your mates house so you can all watch the big fight.
You just need a fast Internet connection. Wifi or 4G anyone?
Let me know your thoughts.
