When Jesus was walking among us, He gave us a perfect way to pray to God the Father. As we all know, this prayer is called the Lord’s prayer and it is given to us in Matthew 6:5-15. Here is this most important verse that will show us how to pray direct to God the Father:

“And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.

But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

But when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.

In this manner, therefore, pray;

Our Father in heaven,

hallowed be Your name.

Your kingdom come.

Your will be done

On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts,

As we forgive our debtors.

And do not lead us into temptation,

But deliver us from the evil one.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.

For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” (Matthew 6:5-15)

If you look very closely as to what Jesus is telling us to do, I believe there are 7 key, pieces of revelation contained in it. These 7 key pieces of revelation are the following:

1. Direct all of your prayers to God the Father

2. Remember that God’s Kingdom will eventually be coming down to this earth

3. Remember to stay in the perfect will of God for your life

4. Ask God to keep you supplied with the daily bread you will need in this life

5. Forgive all those who will trespass against you

6. Ask God to help keep you out of temptation and deliver you from evil if you do fall into it

7. Remember that God’s Kingdom, Power and Glory will be the only One that will last forever

So in one simple little prayer, the  we have received from Jesus, we have 7 key, powerful pieces of revelation that will help keep us on track with the Lord’s Prayer, along with reminding us what is most important in this life, and what we should all be striving for as we journey through this life with the Lord.
