Your beauty care before forty winks!
All of us want to look fresh and beautiful as soon as we get out of bed in the morning. How many of us really manage to do that? Most of the times, one wakes up with puffy and flaky eyes or with an oily or dry face. As they say, Rome wasn’t built in a day; similarly one cannot have a beautiful, flawless face just in a day. To look attractive and fresh, you should follow an effective beauty regimen.
Start your daily beauty regimen with foot care. In today’s fast paced world one needs to be on his or her toes all the time. Therefore, our feet go through a lot of stress and fatigue and require special attention from us. Soothing your legs helps in relaxing and comfortable sleep. Start with soaking your feet in a warm water basin with a handful of fragrant bath salts. Wash your feet after 10-15 minutes with a normal soap. After washing, scrub your heels with foot filler. Use a toothpick to remove dirt from the edges and grooves around your toe nails. Apply a cold cream or a moisturizer gently around your foot sole and between the fingers and massage it well. This will help your skin relax and will bring a soothing experience.
Once you are done with foot care, you can start with your face care. Firstly, remove all the makeup before going to bed. Now cleanse your face with an appropriate cleanser as it will take away the dirt your face might have picked up during the day. While washing your face make sure you do it with lukewarm water as both cold and hot water causes broken capillaries. If you have an oily skin, go for a cleanser which has walnut as its main component.
To get healthy and beautiful hair, oil your hair and massage your scalp gently. Leave oil overnight and wash your hair in the morning with a mild shampoo to get better results.
After you are done with your face, foot and hair care, take care of the rest of your body. Apply a thick moisturizer to your body, paying extra attention to your hands. If your hands are very dry, then put cotton gloves or socks on after a generous application of moisturizer. The gloves or socks will help keep the moisturizer close to the skin.
Stay hydrated throughout the day to compliment your night time skin routine. Sleep flat on your back and get a full night’s rest. Skin naturally restores and repairs itself during the deep stages of sleep!
Moisturize! All types of skin need to be moisturized well. Often, people with extra oily skin tend to skip out on moisturizing and use more toners and skin-drying treatments. This is really not advisable. Always go for a moisturizer that’s specifically made for your skin type – dry, oily, or combination.
Don’t forget to brush your teeth properly before going to bed to prevent bad breath.
For those who have dry, chapped lips, apply lip balm before going to sleep. You can also apply honey as an alternative to moisturize your lips.
